Career Selection for Waqf Nau Members

hazoor5noborder

“You should always remember that you could only truly count yourself as a Waqif, if after completion of your studies, you present yourself to the Jama’at.” Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (may Allah be his Helper!)

The precious members of the scheme of Waqf Nau are the ones who dedicate their lives in obedience to the service of Ahmadiyyat. Hence, it important to remember that when selecting careers, it is instructed by Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih (may Allah be his Helper!) to choose careers which:

  • Will be of benefit to Jama’at.
  • Approved by Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih (may Allah be his Helper!)

Planning Careers

Waqf Nau members are advised to start considering various career options at least 2 to 3 years prior to beginning their post-secondary education. However, they must keep in mind that they should

“…Not get education with the intention of earning money, but to gain knowledge so that you are beneficial to the Jama’at and the next generations of the Jama’at in the future.”Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (may Allah be his Helper!) Class Waqifat Nau, Germany, 2007

Steps in Career Selection

  • Consult with parents
  • Consult with the Department of Waqf Nau
  • Must get approval from Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih (may Allah be his Helper!) prior to finalizing any options

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih (may Allah be his Helper!) has reminded the Waqf Nau members and their parents at numerous occasions that they must keep Huzoor-e- Anwar and the National Department of Waqf Nau involved in their career selection process. This will enable them to select and get approval for such professions which are required by Jama’at at any given period of time. Huzoor continuously reminds us that,

“…Parents should instill in their (Waqf Nau) children the fact that the objective for your life is to get knowledge about religion.”

Pursuing Other Suitable Professions

Mentioned-above are very broad guidelines for Waqifin and Waqifat based on most preferred professions. The lists provided, however, are not exhaustive.
Should a Waqf Nau desire to select a profession other than mentioned above, he/she can do so with special permission from Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih.

It is very important to keep in mind…

The Waqf Nau must write to our beloved Imam and seek guidance and approval by stating his/her aptitude… NOT just to seek prayers after selecting the profession on your own.

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V (may Allah be his Helper!) has advised the Waqf Nau members to keep copies of such letters for future reference.

Importance of Prayers and Guidance: Writing to Our Beloved Imam

It is highly recommended to all Waqf Nau members that once they start working towards their approved professional studies, they should keep our beloved Imam involved at all stages of the educational process. They should write at least one letter per month and seek guidance, if required. This is so they enrich their educational journey with the blessings and prayers of Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih (may Allah be his Helper!), Insha’Allah!

Undesirable Professions for Jama’at

In accordance with the instructions of Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (may Allah be his Helper!) that,

“…With regards to their education, children should ask that we have reached this stage, what should we do next. And if they want to go according to their own desire or choose a profession which Jama’at does not require, then take leave from Waqf”.
Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih (may Allah be his Helper!) Friday Sermon, January 18, 2013

Upon Completion of Education

After completion their studies, all Waqf Nau are required to complete the “Professional Particulars Form” [link form] to inform Huzoor their intentions to make themselves readily available for the purpose of Jama’at.

“You should always remember that you could only truly count yourself as a Waqif, if after completion of your studies, you present yourself to the Jama’at.” Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V

Please remember:

“After completing your education, write to him every two weeks for reminder, until reply is received.
