Reconfirmation

3 Critical Steps to Support Your Waqf

On April 13, 1987, Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmadrh, the fourth Khalifa of the Promised Messiahas launched the splendid initiative “Waqf Nau” as scheme which was started in result of a powerful and divine inspiration. He envisioned that with the dawn of the second century of Ahmadiyyat, numerous venues will be opened for the domination of Islam and Ahmadiyyat for which a large number of upright devotees will be needed to cause a revolution in the field of Tabligh.

Instantly, the Jama’at demonstrated their devotion and dedicated their children in the way of the scheme of Waqf Nau. This scheme grew ever rapidly and Allah continued to shower his blessings on the blossoming of a new generation, Waqf Nau. Today, these children are the assets of Jama`at who are destined to play an unprecedented role in spreading the name and faith of the Holy Prophetsa “to each corner of the earth.”

Parental Waqf (0-15)

Naturally, from the time that they are born until the age of 15, it is a parent’s pledge to dedicate their child for the service of Islam and Ahmadiyyat. It becomes the parents’ primary responsibility to train and ready the precious gift of Allah in a way that their Waqf Nau child is fully beneficial to the Jama`at and in a way that he/she will truly be an integral part of the distinct group of individuals who will reform nations. Insha`Allah

Step 1: Reconfirming Your Own Waqf (15)

By age 15, Waqf Nau children are required to declare their own, individual Waqf for the purpose which our dear Khalifa had envisioned in 1987. It is mandatory for all Waqf Nau children to “Reconfirm Dedication” and show commitment that he/she will dedicate life for the service of Islam and Ahmadiyyat.

This commitment is shown by filling out the “Re- Confirmation forms 15 yrs” and submitting it to National Department of Waqf Nau Canada. The National Department of Waqf Nau will in turn notify UK Markaz about the reconfirmation and receive verification.

Step 2: Renewing Your Waqf (18)

At the age of 18, as per the instructions of our beloved Huzoor, Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (may Allah be his Helper), a Waqf Nau must once again confirm his/her Waqf, taking full responsibility of its’ obligations. Just the same, another Re-Confirmation forms 18 yrs must be completed and this information will then be relayed to UK Markaz for a secondary verification.

Step 3: Upon Graduation or Marriage

Lastly, any Waqf Nau who completes his/her education or gets married is required to complete the “Professional Particulars Form” to inform Jama’at of their status socially and educationally. As our beloved Imam states,

You should always remember that you could only truly count yourself as a Waqif (dedicated), if after completion of your studies, you present yourself to the Jama’at. -Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (may Allah be his Helper)

Therefore, it is imperative for each Waqf Nau to notify Huzoor after finishing his/her education and seek guidance for future plans. One should keep writing (and save a copy of each letter) until a response a received.
